Our Directors
Stephen Edmunds B.Bus (RMIT) CPA & CA - Managing Partner
Stephen joined the team in 1987. He is both a CPA and Chartered Accountant and is also a registered company auditor. Stephen has much experience in taxation and small and medium sized enterprise business management.
Sig Syme B.Com CPA - Senior Partner
Sig is our longest serving team member having joined the business in 1973. Sig is a superannuation specialist with a lifetime of professional experience behind him.

Jason Reid B. Bus (Accountancy) RMIT – Senior Accountant
Jason joined the team in October 2008. Having provided accounting services to small to medium enterprise for over six years, Jason brings a sound understanding of Business Planning and compliance requirements.

Victoria Hodges B. Bus, B Info Sys - Senior Accountant
Victoria joined us in November 2003. Victoria has been working in the accounting profession since 1995 and is now involved in the preparation of income tax returns and financial statements for individuals, small businesses and superannuation funds. Victoria is currently undertaking her CPA studies.

Bruce Howard B.Bus (Accountancy) CPA - Accountant
Bruce joined the firm in November 2000 and has worked in the profession since 1975. Bruce has an eye for detail in delivering client accounting, taxation and business needs. Bruce works 3 days per week, Monday, Wednesday & Friday.

Estelle Phillips B. Bus (Accounting) CA – Senior Accountant
Estelle commence working in business services in 1999 at William Buck in the city. During this time Estelle completed her professional year and became a chartered accountant. Estelle has vast experience working with a wide range of clients from large listed companies to small family ran business. Estelle works part time and is in the office on Wednesday and Thursday.

Kate Young B. Com - Accountant / Banklink
Kate joined the firm in August 1998 and is responsible for Banklink and the management of BAS/IAS returns in the office. She also manages the PAYG updates on the firms database and liaises with the ATO when the need arises. Kate works 4 days per week. (Not Friday)

Carol Marshall CPA - Senior Accountant
Carol from New South Wales joined the team in 2003. Carol’s bright personality has meant that she has fitted in quickly with the firm in preparing income tax returns, financial statements. Currently she undertakes work in the superannuation area.

Donna Morris CPA - Senior Accountant
Donna is our longest serving member of the firm joining Bruce Edmunds & Associates in June 1994. After having two children Donna now works on a part-time basis from home continuing to meet the accounting, taxation and business needs of our clients. Donna’s work also takes in many Estate Agent, Solicitors trust accounts and other statutory audits.

Melissa Then CA B.Commerce (Accounting and Finance) - Accountant
Melissa completed her studies at Monash University. Having spent 1 1/2 years at Ernst & Young (Malaysia) providing audit and assurance services, she joined us in June 2007 to further her career and provide her skills to our professional team.

Renata Boutsyk (Master of Accounting) CPA –Senior Accountant
Renata joined us in May 2008 and has worked in the profession since 1997 after a leap from Civil Engineering to Accounting. Renata has a deep understanding of business needs and can advise on appropriate accounting solutions using knowledge and skills developed after many years engaged as a Financial Controller in the industry sector followed by the last three years in public practice.

Emma Gaskell B. Bus – Superannuation Accountant
Emma joined the firm in April 2008 as accountant working in the area of self managed super funds. Emma has worked in both the accounting and finance industries working for several years with PricewaterhouseCoopers where she completed a post Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment. She has been working in a part time capacity since having children and is keen to apply her broad experience in a professional public practice environment.

Cong Li B.Bus (Accountancy) – Accountant
Cong joined us in June 2007. He has completed the postgraduate accounting degree at Monash University with excellent results. After applying accounting skills in another public practice accounting firm, Cong comes to us with a strong commitment to excellence that will enable us to deliver high quality services consistently. Cong is progressing towards his CA.

Our Support Team

Sonia Adrians Dip Acc - Systems Administrator / Office Manager
Sonia has been with Bruce Edmunds & Associates since 1999. During this time, her role with the firm has evolved and she is now our Systems Administrator/Office Manager, a role which includes the day to day management of our sophisticated IT system. Sonia is responsible for all our in-house bookkeeping and IT support as well as client accounting software support including implementation and setup of accounting software.

Geoff Reid – Administration
Geoff commenced employment with us in July 2007. Following the successful completion of an Accounting Degree he spent 17 years with the ANZ Bank in both administration and lending management roles. More recently he has spent 8 years as an office manager and bookkeeper for a medium sized manufacturing and importing business. Geoff brings many business skills with him that can be readily applied to our support of clients.

Rhonda Snow - Superannuation Support
Commencing in October 2007 on a part time basis, Rhonda assists in our specialist superannuation compliance section working with Carol and Victoria. Rhonda previously worked for the National Australia Bank for 15 years in various administrative roles and completing her career there as a District Training Manager.

Robyn Svojtka - ASIC / Company Registers
Robyn works part time. Her main role is ASIC compliance management for client companies. She attends to ASIC lodgment requirements for over 400 companies. If you need to change your company's ASIC records then you need to speak with Robyn.

Andrea Walsh - Administration / ASIC Support
Andrea commenced working with us in August 1994. During her tenure with us Andrea has moved from managing the front desk, our corporate registry system to eventually being office manager. Moving to part time in 2005 Andrea now performs various administration duties
